Liquidation

ToMiLo UG focused on libraries for the automotive market. To extend the business towards new markets and applications, ToMiLo UG needs a change in its legal form, and the UG was sent into liquidation, lasting till end of 2018.

In the meantime I'm active as free lancer again.

License contracts remain valid. Upon request a new license contract can be sent cost-free.

Continuous Integration
We opened our Continuous Integration server to the world. What's the advantage? First you don't have to compile the software on your own, but you can download the latest builds from our Jenkins server. Second it shows our customers what platforms we develop for, so what platforms are officially supported. You also see our test results and can verify that we fulfill high quality standard. Vector::BLF
A new major release of the Vector::BLF module became available. It now supports data recording. The performance has been increased significantly. Apart from some old data types for which no test data was available, it now supports all current data types.

Formation of ToMiLo

Why? The automotive industry shows a growing interest in Open Source Software (OSS). ToMiLo UG (haftungsbeschränkt) was founded in January 2016 in order to fulfill this interest.

What are the advantages of OSS? OSS gives you early access to new technology. Our OSS fulfills highest standards and uses state-of-the-art technologies to provide multi-platform support, highest quality, best performance, and usability.

What is the business model? Our software is offered with a fair dual-license business model. With the GNU General Public License (GPL) you can review and test our software, while the commercial license is required as soon as you intend to use our software for commercial purposes.

Who are the customers? ToMiLo support manufacturers, suppliers and customers in the development of embedded systems, and supporting tools, mainly in the Automotive Industry.

What is the backgroud of the founder? Dr.-Ing. Tobias Lorenz is an active Open Source developer since 2000. In 2005 he joined Bosch and worked there in different functions: Software and Hardware Development in Automotive Electronics department, Research & Development in Corporate Research department, and Product Management in ETAS (a subsidiary of Bosch). Since 2015 he is Lead System Architect at Continental Automotive in Infotainment & Connectivity department.
